September 14-15, 2001
The aim of this Mini-Symposium is to present and discuss the most recent results in the field of gravitational physics, and stimulate an exchange of ideas between scientists interested in related questions. We would like to encourage in particular young scientists to use this forum to present recent work on one or more of the following object categories and scientific topics:
- Gravitational Waves: Sources and Detection
- Experimental Gravity
- Relativistic Cosmology
- Physics and Motion of Compact Objects
- Fundamental Gravity Theory
- Mathematical Relativity
The Joint discussion will take place on Friday, September 14, 2001 from 16:00 until 19:30 and on Saturday, September 15, 2001, from 09:00 until 12:30. In addition, space and time for poster presentations will be provided. All oral contributions are limited to 20-30 minutes talk, in order to accommodate a large number of speakers in the available time.On Saturday, September 15, 2001 from 12:30 until 13:00 there will take place the meeting of the GPS members.
The deadline for submission of abstracts for oral and poster contributions is July 13. Schielicke, (schie@astro.uni-jena.de) and to the convener of JD-5, Gerhard Schaefer (gos@tpi.uni-jena.de). The contributions will be scheduled during July 2001 by the symposium organizing committee.
