The acquisition software for the project was righten in Visual Basic. This programming languange was chosen because a Windows program needed, in order to be used by anyone. It uses the Windows API interface as well as the ASCOM drivers to comunicate with MaximDL. MaximDL is a CCD camera control software and is used to control the camera and to download the data to the computer.
